Good news if you have done 23 and Me and opted for the health report you can find out if it is genetically possible for you to be a carrier of the Celiac gene and also if you have a chance of developing it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

23 and me<\/strong> tests for\u00a0variants<\/span>\u00a0near the HLA-DQA1 and HLA-DQB1\u00a0genes<\/span>\u00a0linked to the\u00a0HLA-DQ2.5<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0HLADQ8<\/strong>\u00a0haplotypes.<\/span> These haplotypes are associated with celiac disease but it is more complicated then just that. Here is a cheat cheat to see which genes you carry.\u00a0<\/p>\n
